- How do I find out the Holiday schedule for my area?
- Because each municipality has its own unique holiday schedule, please contact a customer service representative at the office serving your area. We observe six holidays which we will be closed for: New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
- How do I request additional services, like special pickups, new residential services or to get a Roll Off container emptied?
- For any questions about additional services please contact a customer service representative at the Republic Services office serving your area.
- What assistance services do you offer disabled customers?
- We want to do everything we can to assist our disabled customers and help their trash removal process be as easy as possible. If you are a disabled customer in need of assistance, please contact a customer service representative at your local Republic Services office.
- How do I put a hold on my trash collection for an out of town vacation?
- To adjust any of your Republic Services collections, including planned service interruption, please contact a customer service representative at your local Republic Services office.
- Can I request extra service on my pickup day?
- We are happy to assist you in meeting all of your service needs. For services beyond the standard you receive, please contact a customer service representative at your local Republic Services office.
- Do you have compost bins?
- We do not currently carry compost bins. Your local hardware store will be able to best meet this need.
- Where do I put my cans and when?
- If you are unclear about the day of removal or the exact location, please reference your municipality page of our website or contact your local customer service representative.
- Why wasn't my garbage/recycling bins/yard trimmings cart picked up?
- Sometimes holidays affect the regular service schedule. To make sure there was no unintentional interruption to your service, please contact a customer service representative at your local Republic Services office.
- When is my service day?
- This information is available on the municipality page of our website, or through your local Republic Services office.
- Do you collect paint?
- The process for disposal of hazardous materials varies for each town. Please contact a customer service representative at your local Republic Services office to inquire about your needs.
- Does Republic have Spanish-speaking Customer Service Representatives?
- We want to meet the needs of all of our customers, so many of our offices offer bi-lingual assistance.
- What time do I need to put my trash out for pick up?
- Our employees begin each day early, so it is best to have all containers placed by 6 a.m. on your scheduled removal day.
- How often does the fuel component of the charge change?
- Because of the fluctuating cost of fuel, we update the charge each month.
- Is there an alternative to paying or being charged the Administrative Fee?
- To avoid any administrative fees, you can sign up for automatic payment through our service at http://www.Disposal.com.
- How often do I receive a bill?
- The specifics of billing vary for each municipality. Please view the billing schedule for your area on the municipality page of our website, or contact your local Republic Services office with specific questions. Billing can also be setup through http://www.disposal.com.
- What are my different payment options?
- Each time you receive a bill for Republic Services collections you have a few options for payment. You can send your payment through the mail, use your bank’s online payment service, sign up for our Just Pay It service through http://www.disposal.com, call our toll-free number (877) 692-9729 or use our online bill paying service through http://www.disposal.com.
- How do I start recycling at my business?
- The first step is to see what recycling services are available in your area. Please contact your corporate service representative at your local Republic Services office.

- The first step is to see what recycling services are available in your area. You can either look up your municipality on our website or contact a customer service representative at your local Republic Services office.
- How do I place recycling materials in my recycle bin?
- Because of our Single Stream Recycling system, all of your materials can be placed into the bin together. It is however recommended that you keep paper products separate from other materials to keep the paper clean from debris.
- How is Single Stream Recycling collected?
- Single Stream Recycling means that material can now be collected in a total commingled fashion. Your recycling can now be collected in a combined or mixed fashion. Paper and containers can now be collected without the need of keeping the paper separated from the containers. So, one truck can pick up all of your recycling materials together and they are then sorted at our facilities.
- What materials can be placed in my recycle bin?
- Please contact your local Republic Services office for the specific types of paper, glass, plastic and construction debris that can be placed in the recycling bins.
- How is the recyclable material separated?
- We take great care in making sure that our disposal process recycles as many commodities as possible. Our company’s 53 recycling facilities are equipped to separate each of the types of material for efficient reuse.
- What are the required standards for recycling items?
- Republic Services recycles approximately 1.7 million tons of recyclable commodities each year, including paper, glass, plastics and reusable construction debris. Please contact your local Republic office for the specific standards of these commodities.
